Walt Disney World’s Minnie Van service continues to whisk Guests all over the onsite property, and beginning Sept. 14, 2018, more exciting changes are on the way! Let’s explore everything about this innovate transportation option.
How does the service works?
Minnie Van service works with the Lyft app. Download the app from your app store. Next, open the app from anywhere within Walt Disney World Resort to access the service, request a “Minnie Van” ride and pay for it through the app. Cars are usually minutes away.
To select a ride:
- Confirm your current pick-up location.
- Enter your Walt Disney World destination and tap “Request.”
- The app will display a map tracking the vehicle en route and give you an identifying vehicle number to help you spot your car.
Note: Minnie Van vehicles can accommodate Guests with standard wheelchairs, motorized vehicles and electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs); however, an additional wait time may occur.
Details on the van?
Minnie Van vehicles are roomy, comfortable and playfully themed with a style inspired by Minnie Mouse. “Vans” are typically an SUV style vehicle.

YES! They all come equipped with (2) versatile car seats. The seats are made to be forward or rear facing. They can also become a high back and/or regular booster seat.
How many can fit in one vehicle?
They will accommodate up to (6) people.
Who drives the vans?
Minnie Van drivers are friendly Disney Cast Members who are trained to whisk you off to where you need to be—with a smile.

What is the pricing around WDW?
Around the Walt Disney Resort area it is a per mileage fee. Expect prices to average around $30 a ride (one way).
How does the airport service work?
The cost is $150 one-way or $300 for round-trip. Vans will pick up from any WDW resort hotel and take guests to ONLY Orlando International Airport (MCO). The service is available from 9 a.m. to midnight for departing flights and 7 am-10 pm for arriving flights
Are they EVC/Wheelchair accessible?
YES! There may be an additional wait, but these types of vehicles are available. To request one of these vehicles ask a Cast Member at the front desk of your resort for assistance.
Do you recommend this service?
Yes and no. It really depends on your unique situation! Our pros are that it is a quick ride, it picks up RIGHT at the Magic Kingdom where the buses are (other ride shares have to go to the TTC), and they do come equipped with car seats. Another GREAT use for the Minnie Van is if you are planning to dine at Hoop Dee Doo Revue inside Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge. They can drive extremely close to where it is located and alleviate a lot of transportation hassle. Another great use of this is for families with small children. This ride can be MUCH quicker (and more comfortable) at the end of a long day with cranky kiddos.
We do NOT recommend using this service for an airport transfer. Use your Magical Express transfer that is complementary with your transfer OR use the regular Uber/Lyft service.
This photo shows an example of a regular Uber trip taken from MCO to Disney’s Polynesian Resort. It comes at a much better price point!
