Can’t wait for your next foodie trip? Whether you’re miles away or just around the neighborhood, take note of these places we’re about to mention for your next go-to restos next time!
Las Vegas is known for it’s abundance of buffets, and there’s always something for anyone who wants to eat. We asked the locals where their favorite places are to experience something different. After they gave us a bunch of suggestions, we’ve listed our honorable mentions that are close to The Strip.
If you are looking for a romantic and elegant dinner night, you can go to Hugo’s Cellar in the Four Queens Casino. It is not far from The Strip in a downtown area called Fremont Street. There is also the famous Golden Steer Steakhouse that is just off The Strip on Sahara. Many celebrities through the ages have visited there. Both are classic steakhouse style with impeccable service, and are highly rated.
If your are in the mood for the french cuisine, a short distance down the street from the Golden Steer Steakhouse is Pamplemousse Le Restaurant. Family run for over 44 years and has been voted Most Romantic Restaurant and Best French Restaurant. If you are in the mood for Steaks, Seafood, Escargot or classic French food you should go here, but be sure to save room for the souffle.
A must visit for both tourist and locals is The Peppermill Fireside Lounge, located directly on Las Vegas Blvd. between the Wynn and the Rivera. It has a unique atmosphere and has been featured in numerous movies. They serve classic American style food, but they do it so well. The huge sundae is a meal all on it’s own!
Just a short drive about 10 minutes away from The Strip you can be transported to Morocco at Marrakech Mediterranean Restaurant. Adventure into a Moroccan tent and enjoy a six-course prix fixe menu with a live belly dancing. It is truly an experience you don’t want to miss!
Another short distance from Las Vegas Blvd. down Flamingo Road, you can get a taste of the Northern Thai culture at Lotus of Siam. They have received numerous awards, with glowing reviews from several food critics. The Crispy duck and Garlic Prawns are highly suggested.
If you want old school Vegas, you should go get Italian food. Battista’s Hole in The Wall is a true Hole in The Wall hidden among the casino’s on Flamingo Rd. where you will find traditional Italian fare like lasagna, spaghetti and more. Bootlegger Italian Bistro is another favorite located on the South Strip, 5 minutes away from the “Welcome To Las Vegas” Sign. They have been featured on magazines and televisions shows, as well as winning some awards! The homemade panetti bread with Italian dipping sauce that is served with dinner is really my favorite. They are also open 24/7 which is great for those late night snacks.
